Shelterd Housing in Buckinghamshire

Residents must be practising Roman Catholics who in the opinion of the Trustees are in need of sheltered accommodation and not less than 60 years of age or Married Couples of whom the Husbands are not less than 60 years of age, and the Spouses not less than 50 years. Applications are not normally considered from those who are over 75 years of age.

Residents must have been born in, or resided in the United Kingdom, for 10 years before joining the Retreat.A Garden at the Retreat

As the Retreat does not offer Nursing Home Facilities, applications are not considered from those who require 24hr care or nursing services; or whose medical condition is likely to be a health hazard to other residents; or who have suffered a major mental illness in the last 10 years, which requires ongoing specialist supervision and treatment.

Residents make a Maintenance Contribution towards the cost of the upkeep and administration of St Scholastica's, payable monthly in advance. The cost of electricity used for central heating, cooking, lighting etc, is the responsibility of residents, as is the Council Tax levied by High Wycombe Council.
